Thermo Switch For Radiator Fan

Thermo switch for the radiator fan of the following Alfa Romeos:

• Alfasud, ti, Giardinetta - all engines
• Alfasud Sprint, Sprint - all engines
• ARNA - all engines
• Alfa 33 (905) - all petrol engines
• Alfa 33 (907) - all petrol engines until about 1992 (Alfa afterwards installed a switch with SuperSeal connector)

The OE thermo switch shall activate the radiator fan when the temperature in the radiator has reached 92° C and shall switch it off when 82° C are reached.
Way too late.
Who uses his Boxer-Alfa in summer for longer periods in traffic jams in the city or on a motorway knows the phenomenom too well: the radiator is underdimensioned for today's traffic, the radiator thermometre has long moved from its normal position too "warm" before the fan finally cuts in and tries too help to cool the engine down - usually without success.

This thermo switch activates the fan at 85° C and cuts off at 80° C and helps to reduce the heat stress for the engine.
